Katherine Saunders
Katherine is an experienced and attuned Clinical Psychologist, who is passionate about resilience and authenticity, considering these essential components of human flourishing. Within a welcoming space, she works in partnership with clients to explore their personal history and meet their present needs. She strives to foster an environment of wisdom, candour and self-reflection in order to promote meaningful change and wellbeing.
Katherine works primarily from a relational framework, which acknowledges that the relationships we have with others often impact the connection we have with ourselves. The therapies used will be personalised to your needs, drawing on multiple evidenced-based treatments including ACT, CBT, DBT, Schema, and Mindfulness-based interventions. Her clinical experience spans private and community mental health setting, in areas such as sexual health, interpersonal assault, complex trauma, chronic health conditions and substance dependence.
Katherine provides regular commentary for some of Australia’s largest publications (e.g. The Guardian), and is available for consultation.
Qualifications:
- Masters of Clinical Psychology (University of Technology Sydney)
- First Class Honours degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences - Psychology (University of Sydney).
